Jan 28 - Febr 4 1996 Athens Medical Center and a group of
specialized doctors visited Palestine for briefing, doctor training and
organizing the health sector of Palestine. Responsible for Laparoscopic
Surgery was K. Konstantinidis who operated, with his team, patients
with acute problems.
June 14-15 1996 During the training of the Kos Hospital surgeons, many laparoscopic operations were performed. With
equipment that had been transported from Athens, patients with acute
problems underwent operations, allowing doctors to observe and train. November/December 2001 Training

Aegean Team: A
group of specialized doctors of Athens Medical Center visits frontier
islands. Patients are examined and minor surgeries are performed to the
residents of the islands that don’t have the ability to visit big
medical centers. 27-29 April 2001 Patmos 4 – 6 May 2001 Astipalaia 12-14 April 2002 Karpathos 27-29 June 2002 Ios 7-10 May 2004 Kasos
9-13 /12/2002 Voluntary
service in the Surgical Clinic of the University of Belgrade with
lectures and training in advanced laparoscopic operations, which could
be observed by surgeons, students and other doctors using throughout
the country with the use of a circuit. Also, for the accomplishment of
this program, associate surgeons and the anesthesiologist of Mr. K.
Konstantinidis team offered their services voluntarily, including
devices from the Athens Medical Center and ENDOSKOPIKI Company.
There
was also a publication in the Yugoslavian magazine «Chirurgica
Iugoslavica», with a reference that the first laparoscopic surgery of
hiatal hernia that was performed by the Athens Medical Group team with
K. Konstantinidis as the Director.
19 November 2003 In
the elections for the new Administrative Board of the Scientific
Society of the Athens Medical Group, he was elected unanimously as
President of the Administrative Board.
15-18/12/2005 Invited
by the General Hospital of Larnaca, Cyprus, he operated on patients in
the Hospital for «Adjustable Laparoscopic Lap Band placement for Morbid
Obesity» in the presence of many surgeons.
19 December 2005 In
the elections for the new Administrative Board of the Scientific
Society of the Athens Medical Group, he was elected unanimously as
President of the Administrative Board.
23 October 2006 Due to his personal persistence the Hellenic Scientific Society of Robotic Surgery is founded.
31 October 2006 The
first meeting of the founder members of the Hellenic Robotic Surgical
Society is held and he was elected unanimously as President.
11 November 2006 «Honoris
Causa» The Pan-Karpathian Association of Rhodes pronounced him honorary
member because his contribution to the medical science advancement, and
especially to the General, Laparoscopic and Robot Surgery, honors his
birthplace, Karpathos.
7-10 June 2007 During the 5th
Pan-Hellenic Conference for Obesity Surgery, elections were held and he
was voted unanimously as President of Greek Society for Bariatric &
Metabolic Surgery 17-19/1/2008 Professor Irinel
Popescu, director of the Surgery Clinic of Fundeni Hospital, General
Surgery and Liver Transplantation Center, Surgical Oncology of the
Digestive System and Laparoscopic Surgery in Bucharest Romania, invited
Dr. Konstantinidis and his team to perform the first robotic operations
