Since the early 90’s, Dr. Konstantinidis has repeatedly organized intensive post graduate educational seminars on Laparoscopic Surgery and participated as proctor in the first laparoscopic operations in the following hospitals:

Dr. Konstantinidis and his colleagues performed laparoscopic surgical operations for the first time at the Hospital of Gaza in Palestine. Per invitation by the hospital authorities, he gave lectures and tutorials on principles of basic and advanced laparoscopic surgery to the Palestinian colleagues. During his stay at Gaza he received an honorary diploma from the President Yasser Arafat.

In 2003, he was invited by the Ministry of Health of Yugoslavia to train advanced laparoscopic surgery at the Central Hospital of Beligrade. The seminars that were organized by the University Clinic were attended by 300 surgeons from all over the country. Dr. Konstantinidis and his colleagues performed a number of laparoscopic operations such as repair of hiatal hernia, ventral hernia, inguinal hernia, esophageal achalasia, and other operations of the upper and lower abdomen. It is worth noting that all of the instruments, surgical supplies, and equipment were transferred from Athens Medical Center for the safe completion of the operations. They were then kindly offered to the Surgical University Clinic of Belgrade.
In 2005 he taught and performed laparoscopic surgical operations for Morbid Obesity such as Laparoscopic Gastric Lap- Band Placement.

Dr. Konstantinidis has devoted an exceptional amount of his activities to informing doctors and the public on the surgical applications of modern technology in Greece. He has given lectures and educational seminars for many University and Public Hospitals in Greece and the U.S.

For many years he was in charge of the training program for Postgraduate students of the Pharmaceutical School, University of Athens (Biopharmaceutical – Pharmakinetic Lab). He supervised their clinical practice at a Surgical Clinic for obtaining the Postgraduate diploma for Specialty in Clinical Pharmacy. 
He has presented many original papers on laparoscopic surgery and the application of Laser in surgery in many domestic and international meetings. 


His paper titled "Laparoscopic Repair of Bowel Obstruction" earned highest honors at a recent international surgical conference.  Furthermore, many of his papers have received awards at conferences in Greece. Most recently, his paper titled “Oxidative stress in Lapaposcopic Cholecystectomy in comparison to Open Cholecystectomy” was awarded. The paper in video form titled “Laparoscopic excision of a gigantic ovarian cyst weighing 15 kilograms in a 25 year old female” received the first award at a recent international conference.

In 2000, at Yale University, U.S.A, a book written by Dr. Konstantinidis and his team was published, titled “Laparoscopic Surgery for Morbid Obesity”. In September, 2000, he implemented for the first time in Greece and Southeastern Europe the use of the robotic surgical system with one arm, Aesop 3000 ((Automated Endoscopic System for Optimal Positioning). It is voice activated and plays an active role in the operation making the endoscopic procedures simpler with precise movements. 
Together with other doctors from Athens with various specialties, he belongs to the “Aegean Team” as the head surgeon. He visits islands every year, examines patients, and performs small surgeries when the residents are unable to visit hospitals.
